Expert Clogged Drain Repair in the Inland Empire
A clog never picks a convenient time. It's the sink full of dishwater before guests arrive, or the shower that turns into a bathtub halfway through your morning. Sanborn's has been clearing stubborn drains across the Inland Empire since 1949, and our plumbers arrive with the equipment to get water moving again, usually on the same visit. We tell you what caused the clog, fix it, and quote a flat rate price before we begin.
Every clog we clear is backed by our 5 Star Satisfaction Guarantee. We don't just push the problem a few feet down the pipe and call it done. We find out whether you're dealing with a one time blockage or a sign of something deeper, and we're honest about which it is.
How We Clear a Clogged Drain
The method depends on where the clog sits. For a blockage in a single sink, tub, or toilet, we use hand augers and cable machines to break through it and pull it out. For clogs deeper in the system, we use larger cable equipment and, when needed, a camera to see exactly what we're up against.
The type of drain tells us a lot. Kitchen lines clog from grease and food residue that cools and hardens inside the pipe. Bathroom drains clog from hair and soap scum, and hard water minerals make that scum stickier here than in many places. Laundry lines clog with lint. Knowing the cause helps us clear it fully and tell you how to keep it from coming back. We also steer people away from chemical drain cleaners, which can damage older pipes and fixtures without removing the real blockage.

When a Clog Is More Than a Clog
-
Only one fixture is draining slowly.
This is usually a local clog in that fixture's own line. It's the easiest kind to clear and the best time to call before it becomes a full blockage.
-
Water backs up in one fixture when you run another.
If the shower gurgles when the washing machine drains, the two share a line and something is restricting it downstream.
-
Every drain in the house is slow at once.
That points to the main line. It's worth calling right away, since a main line blockage can send wastewater back into your home.
-
The drain smells even after you clean it.
Persistent odor often comes from buildup further down the line that surface cleaning never reaches.
